A 37-year-old carpenter, Okechukwu Michael, has committed suicide in Agbor community of Delta State after his girlfriend dumped him for his inability to satisfy her in bed.
Reports said that the victim committed suicide by hanging himself behind his house in the bush on a mango tree, leaving behind a written note by the tree.
It was gathered that Okechukwu had earlier threatened to kill himself if his relationship with the girl failed.
Sources said the girl complained about the inability of the victim to satisfy her in bed.
Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Celestina Kalu, confirmed that the body of the victim was found hanging on the mango tree Sunday night.
Part of the note reads: “I can’t stand you leaving me; I must return to mother earth”.
